Acne Prone Skin

“Crap. I have a really important meeting today, why today, of all days?”

“What’s that on your face?” or “Just wash your face”

At one point in time, we’ve all heard or thought this before. Whether you woke up with a new “friend” on your face, or you just can’t get rid of that thing, like c’mon its been 2 weeks!

What Ingredients Should I Be Using?

Some of the best ingredients for acne include Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Benzoyl Peroxide, and Adapalene. But I can’t just go to the store and buy a bottle of Salicylic acid right? No. Well, if you can I would recommend switching stores. The key is to find products like cleansers, moisturizers, and topical treatments that have these acids at the main ingredients. So let’s dive into how to shop for acne-prone skin!

The Breakdown

Let’s start with the acids. Now I know that an acid sounds like the worst thing to put on your skin, but there are actually so many beneficial acids, so don’t be scared! Starting off with Salicylic Acid. This ingredient is especially favorable for acne prone skin. It helps free pores of acne causing bacteria, oil, and dirt. You do have to continuously keep using it to keep results, but the results are totally worth it.

Similar to Salicylic Acid, Benzoyl Peroxide also works by reducing acne causing bacteria on the surface of your skin.
